TRW Aftermarket used the first ever UK Automechanika exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham last week, to promote its market leading ‘Corner Module’ (braking, steering & suspension programmes) and to reiterate the safety message behind the TRW Aftermarket name and brand.

As well as focusing on the brand and product portfolio, TRW Aftermarket also highlighted recent digital developments including the launch of a new version of its website, www.trwaftermarket.com and an enhanced edition of its free, online technical resource for garages, Tech Corner,
In addition, TRW’s UK Technical Training Manager, Brian Newell, conducted a technical seminar on the topic of Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) and the shift towards active safety.
TRW Aftermarket introduced its global ‘Corner Module’ concept to the wider European aftermarket in 2011 to describe TRW’s field of expertise within the aftermarket and to reflect its Original Equipment (OE) engineering pedigree. The concept has since been rolled out on a global basis. The offer of braking, steering & suspension, which are integrated in the ‘corner’ of the vehicle, affords TRW a unique service proposition and also supports its central philosophy of ‘safety where you need it most.’
As well as underwriting TRW Aftermarket’s specialist product areas, the Corner Module concept has successfully simplified business logistics for its customers.

By allowing customers the opportunity of dealing with just one supplier, stronger and more inclusive relationships are formed over time.
In turn, this means that distributors have increased confidence to supply these parts to their customers knowing that TRW, as an OE manufacturer, will only supply parts and technologies that are a logical fit and that work in perfect harmony when fitted to the car.
TRW Aftermarket’s UK marketing manager, Kevin Price, explained: “Five years on, and we are still the only OE quality manufacturer to offer the global aftermarket a complete portfolio and continue to lead the way in this area.
“With dynamic campaigns, on-going digital developments such as the TRW App and comprehensive integrated catalogue, and central involvement in initiatives such as loyalty campaign, automotive Diamonds, we advocate that it pays to fit OE quality parts manufactured by the company which developed the technologies behind them.”
Kevin added: “There are in excess of 550 domestic and international exhibitors attending this landmark show and we are thrilled to be here supporting the UK aftermarket and promoting our messages. As a business we have supported the global Automechanika exhibitions since 2004 and consider them to be the most important in the aftermarket calendar.
“This is an exciting time for TRW Aftermarket in the UK. The market is buoyant and the customer is becoming ever more aware of the importance of fitting the highest quality safety critical parts.
“Both our company and our brand name stand for safety, quality and innovation, thanks to our Original Equipment (OE) pedigree, heritage and technical expertise, which directly translates into our aftermarket offer. We will continue to use our Corner Module offer to further strengthen our market leading premium position.”
