Ring to launch first handheld inspection lamp using CRI LEDs at Auto Trade EXPO, at Citywest Exhibition Centre, Dublin, October 22-23.
Anyone involved in the Body Repair market will understand the importance of CRI (The colour rendering index) when it comes to colour matching. For those unfamiliar with this technology, the CRI of a light source is a quantitative measure of its ability to reproduce the colours of various objects faithfully in comparison with an ideal or natural light source.
To put it simply, CRI is a measure of a light source’s ability to show object colours “realistically” or “naturally” compared to a familiar reference source, either incandescent light or sunlight.
The Ring Al5 Colour Match has been designed to specifically for auto body shops to replicate sunlight conditions. This gives technicians the opportunity to tell if paint jobs are accurately matched to the existing colour. In addition to this, marks, scratches and other blemishes are clearly identified.
