Federal-Mogul Motorparts has recently agreed to a five-year contract extension with borgwarner emissions systems to continue the exclusive global independent aftermarket distribution of beru ignition products.

This agreement further strengthens Federal-Mogul’s market leading position in global ignition products and will see the company continue as the exclusive licensee of the Beru brand to the aftermarket.

Under the new agreement, beginning in January 2018, Federal-Mogul will leverage its global aftermarket organization to sell Beru spark plugs, glow plugs, ignition coils and connectors, glow control units, ignition leads and sensors. The Beru glow plug product line is recognized as a market leading diesel ignition technology.

The agreement is part of Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ investment in global brand recognition and product line expansion, in order to offer its customers a one-stop solution for their aftermarket ignition needs.  The cooperation with BorgWarner will make a wider range of ignition products much more accessible, based also on the logistical and warehousing capacities that federal-mogul motorparts provides.

Borgwarner will continue to design, develop, manufacture and sell beru ignition products directly to customers in the original equipment assembly and original equipment service markets.
