child%20of%20haiti%20logoChild of Haiti is an Irish charity founded in 2011.

It started out with the goal of improving children’s education in Haiti for desperately poor families. Irish sponsors have helped hundreds of children to learn the English language, as a means of helping them escape the poverty trap.

The charity has evolved, and now in addition to continuing the educational work with 600 children currently, Child of Haiti is working to improve the quality of life for the children of Haiti in other ways.

Because of the scarcity of safe drinking water, Child of Haiti has developed a desalination plant and a training and care centre for the families of children with leprosy. The latest project sees a another building being handed over to the French Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition, to expand these life changing services to children in Haiti.

Irish volunteers will travel to Haiti in November to complete this latest project. At the Auto Trade EXPO, they are on Stand 16P, displaying the classic Ferguson 20 Tractor that they have restored – Draw Tickets are on sale for €10 each foryour chance to win the prized tractor.

Finally, the Child of Haiti charity has no employees or agency staff, no rented or leased offices, just great volunteers and supporters. So you can be assured that all contributions you make and money from the draw tickets, will all go to improving greatly the lives of children in Haiti.
