Bodyshop professionals visiting the 2026 Auto Trade EXPO at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin from 10th-11th October will have an opportunity to get a closer look at Blackhawk’s WEL18000A Aluminium-Steel Dent Puller Station, a versatile solution developed for the demands of modern crash repair.

With vehicle manufacturers increasingly using aluminium alongside conventional and high-strength steels, bodyshops need repair equipment capable of handling different materials efficiently and safely.

The WEL18000A provides a practical workstation built around this changing repair environment.

Rather than being simply a dent puller, the WEL18000A is designed as a mobile, organised dent-repair station, bringing together the equipment, pulling tools and accessories technicians need for aluminium and steel panel repairs.

The workstation can accommodate Blackhawk’s WEL21000 aluminium dent puller and WEL16000 dual-gun spotter, providing bodyshops with a comprehensive platform for different dent-repair applications.

The WEL21000 uses capacitor-discharge technology for welding aluminium studs, with an extremely short welding process designed to minimise alteration to the reverse side of the panel. This is particularly important when working on increasingly sophisticated modern vehicle body structures.

The station can also incorporate a wide range of pulling equipment and accessories, including traction and compact pulling systems, multihooks and other specialist dent-repair tools. Keeping these components together on a mobile station allows technicians to position their equipment alongside the vehicle, helping improve organisation and workshop efficiency.

For independent bodyshops and crash repair centres, equipment such as the WEL18000A highlights how rapidly repair methods are evolving. Aluminium-intensive construction, mixed-material bodies and increasingly complex vehicle designs mean technicians require both the correct equipment and up-to-date repair knowledge.

The 2026 Auto Trade EXPO will give crash repair professionals the opportunity to see the latest bodyshop equipment, tools and technologies first-hand.

The Blackhawk WEL18000A will be among the products worth checking out for bodyshops looking to expand or upgrade their aluminium and steel repair capabilities.
